According to Bowers & Wilkins, the Px8 headphones redefine sound quality and premium design.
Px8 are Bowers & Wilkins’ new flagship wireless headphones. Building on the success of the Px7 S2, the new Px8 sets what B&W claims to set a new benchmark for sound, build and finish in the active noise canceling wireless headphone category.
At the heart of the Px8 is the same active noise canceling wireless platform found in the Px7 S2. The Px8 also features brand new custom 40mm carbon fiber cone drivers.
As with the Px7 S2, the Px8’s Carbon Cone drivers are positioned at a precise angle within each ear cup to ensure a constant distance from the listener’s ear from every point on the surface of each speaker. This, according to the developers, will create a more exciting and very accurate sound stage. The Px8 headphones are promised the best sound quality Bowers & Wilkins has ever delivered with a pair of wireless headphones.
The Px8 uses Qualcomm’s aptXTM adaptive wireless technology and supports both USB-C and 3.5mm analog cable connections, both included in the carrying case that came with the product. The Px8 also features Bowers & Wilkins’ patented optimized noise reduction technology. Six microphones work together: two monitor the sound of each speaker, two respond to ambient noise, and two provide voice transmission with enhanced noise reduction.
With the launch of Px8, the Bowers & Wilkins music app will be updated to include direct music streaming through headphones. The branded music app will allow Px8 users to stream their music of choice directly from their mobile device to Deezer, Qobuz and TIDAL-enabled headphones. Materials used include die-cast aluminum levers, bright diamond-cut metal details and nappa leather trim. Headphones are already on sale in 2 color options – black and brown.
