Exactly two years ago , Sennheiser reduced the price of its high-tech wired headphones with the release of the Sennheiser IE 300 , which used technology borrowed from the more premium IE models. Today, Sennheiser is taking another step towards bringing premium wired sound to even more people with the launch of the IE 200 in-ear headphones.
The IE 200 uses the best in-channel technologies that the German brand can offer. The 7mm diameter TrueResponse ultra-wideband transducer has almost no harmonic distortion. That is why it is also used in the older models IE 300, IE 600 and IE 900 .
Sennheiser designed the IE 200 so that owners can fit the included ear tips in one of two positions, giving them control over the balance they get. Various sizes of viscoelastic foam and silicone ear adapters are designed to block external distractions and maximize low-frequency response.
The updated braided cable has been designed to further reduce cable noise, with 3.5mm stereo jacks and an MMCX jack at the end.
