PS Audio releases software upgrade for PerfectWave DirectStream and DirectStream Jr. digital-to-analog converters .
Improvements made to the software extend the functionality of PerfectWave DirectStream, allowing the device to receive a DSD stream with four times the density through the I2S terminal . The DirectStream Jr. model, in turn, will get higher sound quality by reducing the level of jitter.
The PS Audio Sunlight upgrade can be downloaded for free from the company’s website or purchased recorded on an SD card or USB flash drive for $ 29 .
