Xiaomi has introduced Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition wireless augmented reality glasses that connect to your smartphone and allow you to be in augmented reality on the go. The Discovery Edition in the name of the novelty makes it clear that we have a concept, and not a final product available to customers. The glasses were shown in Barcelona along with the new Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones .

Based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 platform and certified by Snapdragon Spaces , the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition augmented reality glasses enable wireless interaction with any Snapdragon Spaces compatible mobile phone, such as Xiaomi 13 or OnePlus 11.

The frames of the glasses are made of magnesium-lithium alloy with carbon fiber elements, which makes them strong and light – the novelty weighs only 126 grams. The glasses are offered in a titanium finish with three different nose bridges.

Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition uses electrochromatic lenses that can adapt to different lighting conditions. They can dim almost completely, which is ideal for virtual reality functions, or become almost transparent, which is necessary for AR to blend the real and virtual worlds.

The Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition glasses use microOLED displays that can reach 1200 nits of brightness. Their resolution is 58 PPD (pixels per degree), which, according to the manufacturer, is a decisive factor in ensuring that the image does not become pixelated.

Xiaomi also implemented innovative micro-gesture technology in glasses, which allows you to control with one hand with recognition of the movements of the finger joints. With the help of micro gestures, you can select and launch various applications, navigate through websites, various menus or documents, and even type text without touching the smartphone screen.

The ability to use applications such as TikTok or YouTube on the “big” screen, intercept images from the TV, or use gestures to interact with smart devices of the smart home system is declared – for example, turn on the lamp by simply looking at it and pressing a virtual button. For such interactions, the Xiaomi Mi Home smart home platform will be used .
