The new PS5 DualSense Edge wireless controller for the Sony PlayStation 5 game console will be available on January 26, 2023 . Starting October 25, 2022 in the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, you can place pre-orders for the DualSense Edge .
Sony says the DualSense Edge is the first “ultra-customizable” controller that allows you to “create your own unique gaming experience” thanks to its modular design.
Players can fine-tune stick/trigger sensitivity to their liking, remap buttons to hopefully improve their response, and set up different control profiles for multiple games. All this became possible thanks to the new user interface implemented in the controller.
The PS5 DualSense Edge controller even allows for hardware customization: three sets of interchangeable stick caps and two sets of back buttons (both lever and half-dome) come with a bag to store and carry the controller.
The PS5 DualSense Edge will be released just before the PlayStation VR 2 virtual reality headset , which is expected in early 2023. In addition, according to rumors, Sony is preparing a presentation of the PlayStation 5 Pro console in 2023.
The suggested retail price for the controller is $ 199.99 . By comparison, the high-end Microsoft Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller will set you back $179.99.
