The Bang & Olufsen Cisco 980 on-ear headphones are primarily intended for teleworkers. Their numbers skyrocketed during the pandemic – and two leading home audio and corporate communications companies have teamed up to create a versatile product that is equally well suited for work and play.
The headset was unveiled at the Cisco WebexOne event. In fact, it is a single device for such business applications and tools in demand in remote work as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Video.
The headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 5.1, active noise cancellation and beamforming microphones. They are also used in the onboard adaptive active noise cancellation system. Employees working from home will be able to focus on work without being distracted by extraneous sounds, or turn on background music – the developers have promised high quality sound.
Naturally, the new product received controls for receiving calls, working with playback, etc. Beamforming microphone arrays are designed to provide enhanced voice accuracy during calls and video chats.
Bang & Olufsen Cisco 980 headphones are positioned as a business model for comfortable use all day long. Sales are expected to begin in 2022 – and exclusively through Cisco.
The Bang & Olufsen Cisco 980 has a suggested retail price of $ 550 in the US.
