FiiO has released a new model of fully wireless headphones FW3 , characterized by the use of a separate high-quality chip for digital-to-analog conversion .
Most often, TWS headphones use a converter integrated into the Bluetooth adapter, however, the best sound quality is achieved using a specialized DAC chip. The FiiO FW3 is equipped with the AK4332 from the Velvet Sound series, providing a signal-to-noise ratio of 106dB and a dynamic range of up to 102dB.
Responsible for wireless communication is the Qualcomm QCC5141 adapter, which is Snapdragon Sound certified and supports LHDC, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs . The acoustic part is built on a 10 mm dynamic driver with a carbon diaphragm. A full charge of the built-in battery lasts for 7 hours , charging case adds another 14 hours . The earbuds are protected from moisture ingress according to the IPX4 standard . The model is available in two colors – white and gray.
FiiO FW3 TWS headphones are on sale in China at a price of 499 yuan (about $70).
