Meze Audio has introduced the Poet planar magnetostatic open-back full-size headphones at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2025. Featuring advanced Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array technology, premium materials, and an ergonomic design, the Poet headphones elevate sound quality, establishing new benchmarks for compact open-back full-size headphones.
The developers assert that the sound produced by the Meze Poet is remarkably detailed, reflecting Meze Audio’s dedication to quality. This is achieved through the use of premium materials and cutting-edge technical innovations. The open ear cups feature the oval 92 x 63 mm MZ6 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver, which utilizes advanced planar magnetostatic technology specifically created for Meze Audio by Rinaro Isodynamics.
The complex steel outer grille, magnesium casing, and plush suede headrest not only provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance but also enhance the Poet’s exceptional acoustic quality and longevity. The adaptable titanium alloy headband ensures an even weight distribution, offering a comfortable fit that allows for extended listening sessions. Additionally, the lightweight construction and interchangeable magnetic ear pads make the Poet remarkably user-friendly.
Rinaro Isodynamics, a driver manufacturer with over three decades of expertise in planar magnetostatic technology, has contributed significantly to the Meze Poet headphones. The MZ6 driver, developed through extensive research and innovation, exemplifies Rinaro’s leadership in the field. Each driver undergoes meticulous hand-assembly and testing at Rinaro’s advanced manufacturing facility, guaranteeing exceptional quality and performance. Meze Audio specifies the Poet headphones to have a frequency response ranging from 4 Hz to 96 kHz, a nominal impedance of 55 ohms, and a sensitivity of 101 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz.
The Poet over-ear headphones boast a range of cutting-edge features that distinguish them from other high-end models. Notably, they incorporate a hybrid magnetic grille that ensures a consistent and robust magnetic field throughout the diaphragm. Additionally, the headphones utilize an exceptionally lightweight Parus diaphragm, weighing only 0.06 grams, with a surface area of 3507 mm² and an expansive active area, facilitating outstanding sound reproduction.
