Shure presented the second generation of its wireless headphones Aonic 50 at the IFA 2023 exhibition. Built on the basis Compared to the first version, the second-generation model has many new and improved features, including a hybrid active noise cancellation system, improved sound and up to 50 percent more battery life.

Made of high quality materials and promising “studio quality sound” thanks to 50mm dynamic drivers, the Aonic 50 Gen 2 headphones integrate Snapdragon Sound technology for “stable, crystal clear and immersive audio”.

The centerpiece of the Aonic 50 Gen 2 is the introduction of sound space, which works on the basis of a proprietary algorithm that uses acoustic modeling to create an immersive spatial sound experience without sacrificing the correct transmission of the original sound. The new technology includes three modes – Music, Movie and Podcast – that enhance or reduce different frequencies, optimizing your listening experience depending on the audio source.

Also of interest is the introduction of a hybrid active noise cancellation system that improves upon the original ANC by more effectively reducing external noise for increased immersion. There are four selectable modes – Light, Moderate, Max and MaxAware – so you can choose the option that best suits your environment, preferences and needs.

Through the ShurePlus PLAY application, you can adjust the sound to your taste thanks to the equalizer. Beamforming microphone technology with support for six microphones allows you to minimize ambient noise and improve the clarity of voice calls.

Battery life has also been improved. Shure promises twice the runtime of the previous model, with the Gen 2 you can get up to 45 hours of battery life. The Gen 2 Quick Charge feature gives you five hours of use from a 15-minute charge.

Supports Snapdragon Sound with Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec and LDAC codec for higher quality Bluetooth streams, as well as support for standard AAC and SBC codecs. The box also includes a case, a 3.5mm audio cable, and a USB-C charging/audio cable.
