Anthem has added 8K video support to its AV processors and receivers. The updated models, ready to process and switch video with such characteristics, received the 8K suffix to the name.
To date, similar functionality has been announced for the 15.2-channel AVM 70 8 K AV processor, as well as for the Anthem MRX 1140 8 K , MRX 740 8 K and MRX 540 8 K AV receivers , which are expected to go on sale early next year. All of these devices, except the junior receiver, are equipped with seven HDMI 2.1 inputs with support for 8K / 60p or 4K / 120p video and the eARC specification . The Anthem MRX 540 8K AV receiver will have two 8K-capable HDMI inputs out of seven.
According to Anthem, there are no other differences between 8K models.
