Apogee Duet 3: Powerful interface for music and podcasts

Apogee Electronics has released the Duet 3 mini-interface for musicians, which is positioned as the most advanced Duet in the company’s lineup.

The new Duet 3 is a portable USB-C interface with four inputs (two for instruments and two for microphones) and two outputs, and a proprietary AD / DA conversion system for recording and playback at 24-bit / 192 kHz.

When creating Duet 3, Apogee engineers were primarily focused on home studios: compactness, simplicity, high performance. The preamps built into the interface have a gain of up to 60 dB and 48 V phantom power. In addition to USB and main inputs / outputs, organized through a special adapter cable, the device is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Among other things, attention was paid to the design: the product features a modern, low-profile, scratch-resistant glass and aluminum casing. The manufacturer recommended the Duet 3 for recording music, vocals, podcasts, streaming, and games. A case is included with the interface.

In the US, sales of new items will begin in July at a price of about $ 600. For an additional $ 100, you can add the Symphony ECS Channel Strip plugin to your order. The Duet Dock is also optionally available for $ 150.
