Auralic released a new product in a series of G2.1 – full streamer preamp function ALTAIR G2.1 .
A distinctive feature of the model is the use of an analog volume control based on a resistive matrix. The output is equipped with Orfeo class A modules . The model also has two pure analog inputs, allowing the signal to be stored in analog form right down to the output jacks. In this case, one of them is designed to connect a turntable with an MM-head.
The streamer’s CPU is the most powerful in the Tesla series, and the dual Femto clock generates significant jitter reduction. The Auralic ALTAIR G2.1 streamer is Roon Ready and can be controlled with Lightning DS software . Music service built-in clients include Qobuz, Tidal, and Spotify Connect . The device is enclosed in a solid aluminum body, resting on legs with a spring suspension system.
The retail price of the Auralic ALTAIR G2.1 streamer and pre-amplifier in Europe will be 4,999 euros , with sales starting in May 2021.
