The Swiss company CH Precision introduced the P10 phono stage. Two months ago, its predecessor was named here “Boundless Phono Stage”. Well, the P10 showed 5dB lower noise and 8dB more gain. In general, the P10 gain is adjustable from 45 to 78 dB in 3 dB steps.

To do this, P10 received an improved mechanical grounding system, the same as in other products of the series. The power supply is placed in a separate case – apparently, for phono stages of this level, this measure becomes inevitable. Thus, the signal circuits are shielded as much as possible from the power supply system.

The device has four independent phono inputs at once, which support up to eight different correction curves – EMI, Columbia (LP), Decca (London), Teldec (DGG), NARTB / NAB, Capitol (AES) and Philips, for each of which you can choose Neumann’s pole, and remotely, from the IR remote control. The circuit can use local/general feedback, stereo/mono switching and a high-pass filter are provided.

Either balanced (XLR) or unbalanced (RCA) connection options can be used for each of the inputs and outputs. All MM/MC inputs can measure current or voltage. According to CH Precision, the P10’s phono stage “takes recording playback to a whole new level.”

The price of the CH Precision P10 phono stage in Europe was 77,000 euros.
