Marantz introduced the Model 40n premium integrated amplifier. Thanks to the built-in MM phono stage and streaming network module with support for the proprietary HEOS multi-room platform, the novelty turns into an all-in-one system, to which it is enough to add speakers.

The Model 40n is equipped with patented Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM). The power supply is improved with a larger toroidal power transformer, and instead of the usual tracks on the board, the power rails are laid with thick copper, and the conductors themselves are extremely shortened. The final stages use four output transistors per channel.

Music sources abound on the Marantz Model 40n with access to Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Tidal, TuneIn internet radio and more. Not forgotten and local files: 40n understands resolutions up to PCM 24-bit / 192 kHz and DSD 5.6 MHz. Wireless capabilities are also present: Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and HEOS over home Wi-Fi.

A solid array of analog and digital inputs includes HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) for easy pairing with your TV. There is also a subwoofer output with a choice of five low pass filters. The remote control will also allow you to control a branded CD player. In addition to the HEOS application, voice assistants Siri, Alexa and Google also diversify control.

Joel Sietsema, president of Marantz, commented that the Model 40n amplifier is “ideal for those who demand superior performance while adding elegance to simplicity and ease of use.” The front panel in both Black and Silver Gold finishes is complemented by built-in lighting that emphasizes the signature surface texture.
