Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition: Transform any space into your own audio cocoon

Naim Uniti Atom

The British company Naim has released the popular Naim Uniti Atom player-amplifier in a Headphone Edition – that is, in a headphone version.

As a reminder, the original Naim Uniti Atom has a built-in amplifier capable of delivering 2×40 watts into 8 ohms. The Uniti Atom Headphone Edition features a discrete headphone amplifier. Power up to 1.5 W per channel will ensure the operation of even high-impedance models.

The manufacturer is positioning the novelty as a partner for high-end headphones. Naturally, Focal models are recommended for the Headphone Edition: Radiance , Utopia , Stellia , Clear Mg and Celestee .

Otherwise, the model is provided with all the advantages of the familiar Uniti Atom, the built-in DAC of which copes with audio resolution up to 32 bit / 384 kHz and is able to work with Chromecast, Roon, Airplay 2, Bluetooth aptX HD, UPnP, Spotify Connect, Tidal, InternetRadio (vTuner Premium) , ZigBee, etc.

The upgrade to the original Naim Uniti Atom was not just about replacing the amplifier board (the internal structure of this player consists of a set of specialized boards). Naim said it has developed an alternative transformer specifically for the Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition – specifically to power the headphone amplifier.

To connect headphones to the Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, there are three connector options: balanced 4-pin XLR and Pentaconn, as well as a classic unbalanced 6.3 mm jack.

The cost of the Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition has remained unchanged – in the US, Naim Uniti Atom will cost $ 3,290.
