The Japanese brand Rotel presents two state-of-the-art multi-channel power amplifiers for home theater equipment – RMB -1585 MKII and RMB -1587 MKII . These amplifiers embody Rotel’s rich heritage and tradition, including patented Class AB amplification technology, meticulously crafted to the highest quality standards.

The Rotel RMB-1587MKII amplifier offers seven channels of Class AB amplification, each delivering 155 watts of power into an 8 ohm load with all channels operating simultaneously. What’s more, it delivers 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms when all channels are on, and a staggering 335 watts per channel in dual channel mode.

Two toroidal power transformers of our own production are installed in the power supply of the amplifier, capable of providing a load with high currents. The filter is powered by eight high-performance capacitors with a total capacity of 120,000 uF, providing exceptional headroom for this amplifier. The power supply architecture guarantees deep, controlled and rich bass even when driving the most demanding speakers.

The switching arsenal of the Rotel RMB-1587MKII amplifier includes both balanced XLR connectors and unbalanced RCA inputs with automatic switching. There is a 12V trigger input and output for remote power control.

The amplifier’s output stages are cooled by four thermostatically controlled, ultra-low-noise, variable-speed fans.

The Rotel RMB-1585 MKII multi-channel amplifier offers five channels of Class AB amplification, delivering 210 watts per channel into a nominal 8 ohm load and an impressive 340 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load with all channels driven simultaneously. In dual channel mode, it puts out an astounding 440 watts per channel.

This amp features a switch on the rear panel that allows you to intuitively configure it as a 3-channel amplifier that supports bi-amping of the front pair of speakers using channels 1 + 2 and 4 + 5, which automatically use source inputs #1 and #5 in this mode.

Like the seven-channel model, the Rotel RMB-1585MKII is equipped with both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA auto-switching inputs. There is also an input and output of a 12V trigger. Otherwise, the five-channel model also repeats the seven-channel one.

The new Rotel RMB -1587 MKII and RMB -1585 MKII multi-channel power amplifiers are available in both black and stylish silver finishes.
