Rotel Updates A12 Amplifier, CD14 and RCD-1572 Disc Players to MKII Versions

Last spring, Rotel upgraded the A14, RA-1572 and RA-1592 integrated amplifiers to MKII versions. Now it’s time for the A12 amplifier and the CD14 and RCD-1572 CD players. As the company explained, the new items are part of a plan to update the Rotel lineup for the company’s 60th anniversary.

Like last time, the manufacturer assured that the MKII modifications feature significantly improved circuits and partially replaced components. The result of the work was increased detail and accuracy.

All three mentioned devices received 32-bit DACs from Texas Instruments, modified power supplies, selected coupling capacitors, as well as insulators to reduce noise and distortion. The company utilized solutions used in the Michi premium component series.

Rotel paid special attention to an improved drive, a new control chipset and “reconfigured elements” of the CD14MKII model. The company also emphasized the presence of a fully balanced connection in the RCD-1572MKII model.

Updated components are available in black and silver finishes.
