With the release of the latest firmware update, second generation Naim Mu-so units will be able to work with Tidal Connect. That is, in addition to the remaining ability to stream Tidal to Mu-so from a mobile device via the Naim app, selected music can be streamed to Mu-so directly from Tidal’s servers.
These features are included in the firmware version 4.3 – it is available from December 9th. The software is designed to be installed on Naim Mu-so 2nd generation, Mu-so Qb 2nd generation, Mu-so Wood Edition and Mu-so Bentley Special Edition.
In early fall Naim’s Uniti players and streaming devices were able to do the same . As usual, firmware updates are installed via the Naim App.
For Tidal Connect, a 90-day trial is available to new users of the service with the purchase of any Naim streaming device. These models fully support Tidal’s streaming quality.
