Shanling has released a new version of its top digital portable player, the M9 Plus .
The M9 Plus received a metal alloy body with rounded edges, a new Snapdragon 665 central processor with 8 GB of RAM. The amount of built-in storage is 256 GB .
The player has a fully symmetrical circuit, the digital-to-analog converter block in the model is made on four AK4499EX decoders and two AK4491 converters from the Japanese Asahi Kasei . Two outputs are provided for connecting headphones and outputting a linear signal – unbalanced 3.5 mm and balanced 4.4 mm .
The maximum output power is 1125 mW into a 32 ohm impedance load . There are physical controls for volume, power and playback on the side panels, and a large touchscreen takes up the entire front panel.
The Shanling M9 Plus flagship Hi-Res player sells for $2,950 internationally .
