The Shanling UA1 Pro USB-C audio dongle will replace the Shanling UA1. As before, the new product is a miniature USB-DAC with headphone amplifier, capable of working with PCM resolution up to 32 bit / 384 kHz, as well as DSD, including DSD256.
Like its predecessor, the Shanling UA1 Pro outputs an analog signal to a 3.5mm stereo jack. On headphones with an impedance of 32 ohms, the novelty is able to develop a maximum power of up to 80 mW per channel.
All these parameters of Shanling UA1 Pro practically do not differ from the previous model. But the Pro prefix means that the ESS ES9218P DAC at the heart of the system has been replaced by the ESS ES9219C.
According to Shanling, this resulted in a cleaner sound and less noise. In addition, the novelty will be released in two design options: in black and silver colors.
In Europe, the Shanling UA1 Pro USB adapter will be available in September for 50 euros.
