SMSL has released a new CD player, the PL200 , which features top loading optical media . The necessary stability when rotating the disk is ensured by a small amount of pressure.

The player is equipped with a transport from Philips, the reliable operation of which is ensured by the proprietary PASS servo system and four dampers specially designed for this model.
The player has, in addition to optical and coaxial digital outputs and balanced and unbalanced linear analog outputs, also a separate headphone output with a power of 1000 mW at 32 Ohms. Also on board there is a Bluetooth adapter with support for LDAC and aptX HD codecs , plus a USB-C port , which can accept a 32-bit / 768 kHz PCM signal, DSD512 stream and MQA-CD files.
