SMSL has released a new compact digital-to-analog converter SU -1 designed for desktop audio systems.
It provides optical and coaxial digital inputs, as well as a USB-C port, incoming signals are processed by the XMOS XU316 processor . 32bit / 768kHz PCM stream is supported as well as native DSD512 plus MQA file decoding .
The DAC block in the model is made on the latest AK4493S chip from Asahi Kasei , providing THD no higher than 0.00013%. Fixed output voltage is 2V, analog outputs are represented by one pair of RCAs. Overall dimensions of the device – 96 × 27 × 78 mm , weight – 195 grams .
