The new budget portable DAC and headphone amplifier Truthear SHIO is based on the dual chip CS43198 from Cirrus Logic and provides two different levels of amplification.

The most notable feature of the model is that all body panels, except for the end ones, are covered with high quality genuine leather. The case itself is made of aluminum and is equipped with a physical volume key and an LED indicator. For connecting headphones, an unbalanced 3.5 mm output and a balanced 4.4 mm output are provided .

The maximum voltage in High Gain mode is 2V and 4V , respectively, and the maximum output power is 150mW into 32 ohms. The device is connected to the signal source via the USB-C port, the corresponding cable with oxygen-free copper conductors is included in the kit.
