WiiM Amp is a compact, versatile and high-performance amplifier and streamer! It makes it very easy to stream music via DLNA, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth (bidirectional) or Chromecast. This way, you can easily access your music library, no matter where it is stored – on a computer, NAS or smartphone. Additionally, device and playback control is simplified using the WiiM Home mobile app. The app also gives you access to your favorite streaming platforms such as Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz.
The amplifier uses a highly efficient Class D circuit capable of delivering a comfortable power of 2×100 W at 4Ω or 2×60 W at 8Ω.
For remote listening to music, the WiiM Amp has a built-in streamer. Connection can be made via WiFi or Ethernet RJ45. Supported transmission protocols are DLNA, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Chromecast. This way, you can easily access all the music stored on your network, be it a computer, NAS or smartphone. This connection also allows you to use your favorite music streaming apps.
Once connected, WiiM Amp gives you access to numerous music streaming apps such as Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Apple Music and Napster. You can also listen to web radio stations such as iHeartRadio and TuneIn.
The Class D amplifier stage in WiiM Amp allows you to develop power of 2×100 W at 4Ω or 2×60 W at 8Ω, and all this with high efficiency. This makes it ideal for powering book speakers or small speakers. In addition, thanks to a carefully thought-out and optimized design, the amplifier provides accurate and dynamic sound reproduction. Moreover, thanks to numerous preset equalization profiles and a 10-band parametric equalizer, you can tailor the sound of the device.
In addition to wireless connectivity, WiiM Amp has a wide range of connectors, allowing it to be integrated with the vast majority of audio systems. Inputs include stereo RCA and optical Toslink, as well as HDMI ARC for connecting a TV and USB-A for playing music from a storage device (USB stick or hard drive). Output is via speaker terminals with banana plugs. The signal can also be sent to a subwoofer via the subwoofer output. Additionally, the RCA input can be switched to pre-out mode, allowing the WiiM Amp to be used with an external power amplifier.
WiiM Amp can be used as a standalone device or in combination with other devices in a multi-room system. This allows you to distribute music throughout your home from a centralized control point using the WiiM Home mobile app. Playback and volume control can be carried out either synchronously for all devices or independently for each piece of equipment.
Multiple devices can be connected in multiroom mode using any compatible LinkPlay device, as well as AVS Multiroom and AirPlay 2 technologies. The
ergonomic and intuitive WiiM Home app allows remote control of the WiiM amplifier and music playback. It also serves as an access point to compatible streaming services.
The device can also be used completely autonomously, thanks to the remote control that comes included.
Finally, WiiM Amp is compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The WiiM Amp can be controlled by voice by connecting it to a connected speaker of one of these systems, or by using the microphone built into the offered remote control.
