Yamaha showed the R-N1000A and R-N800A streamer amplifiers at the Munich show , as well as the NS-800A and NS-600A bookshelf speakers. The combination of these models, made for each other, is a real compact Hi-Fi.

Both mains amplifiers feature balanced circuitry with the shortest signal paths in a low-vibration chassis. In the older R-N1000A, the case is additionally reinforced with a double bottom with a massive steel damping plate, reference components are used in the circuit, and the speaker cable terminals are cut from pure brass. Both devices are equipped with custom power transformers and filter capacitors.

The amplifiers are calibrated using YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer) room correction technology and are equipped with a proprietary MusicCast system with DLNA support. The choice of Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and AirPlay 2 is hardwired into the menu along with the usual analog and digital inputs. HDMI is also among them, but only in the R-N1000A model. The new products use the SABER ES9080Q DAC from ESS Technology, so resolutions up to 32-bit / 384 kHz and native DSD at up to 11.2 MHz are available.

Matching NS-800A and NS-600A speakers with 16- and 13-cm woofers received cabinets from spruce in black lacquer, with which Yamaha covers the soundboards of their grand pianos. The mid-bass drivers use a branded Harmonious Diaphragm cone made from a Zylon blend. According to Yamaha, it “has superior sound speed and optimum internal dispersion.” Yamaha’s patented technology, a dual-tube system that replaces sound-absorbing material, was used to absorb tweeter back-radiation.

All these novelties will be available from the second half of the year. For speakers, in addition, additional racks will appear.

The exact price of the Yamaha R-N1000A and R-N800A amplifiers has not yet been confirmed, in the US they will cost approximately $1,200 and $1,700. The price of the NS-800A and NS-600A speakers is still known only in Australian dollars – respectively, 6,000 and 4,000 per pair.
