Yamaha unveiled at IFA 2023 a new model of the MusicCast 200 wireless speaker system , which is actually a full-fledged music center for the 21st century .
The Yamaha MusicCast 200 speaker (TSX-N237D) includes everything you need to receive a signal over the air and integrate into multi-room systems. As the name implies, it runs on the proprietary MusicCast platform, but it also supports AirPlay 2. Moreover, it even has a built-in CD player with a slot loader.
In addition to the Wi-Fi module, there is also a Bluetooth adapter, although without support for audiophile codecs, as well as two tuners – analog FM and digital DAB. All functions can be controlled either using the touch area on the top panel of the device, or using the proprietary Yamaha MusicCast mobile application .
The acoustic part includes two coaxial radiators, each of which has a main speaker with a diameter of 80 mm and a 25 mm dome tweeter . With dimensions of 370 × 111 × 260 mm, the model weighs 4.4 kg.
The Yamaha MusicCast 200 will be available in the European market in October 2023 for €719.
