Apple has released iOS 17.3, the third major update to the mobile operating system for Apple smartphones. You can download the update in the “Settings” > “General” > “Software Update” section.

One of the key innovations in iOS 17.3 is additional protection in case of theft, which is called Stolen Device Protection. It will allow you to hide personal information from third parties who were able to take possession of the device and its password. To access it, you will need to use Face ID or Tocuh ID, if the latter is provided in your smartphone model. You will also have to use biometrics if someone tries to change the password on the smartphone itself or the password to the Apple ID.

In addition to the new level of protection, iOS 17.3 now includes the ability to create collaborative playlists. Now several users can adjust the list of music tracks in one playlist.

Along with iOS 17.3, Apple developers also presented two other versions of the operating system: iOS 15.8.1 and iOS 16.7.5 – they are intended for owners of older iPhone models.
