Google is actively working on a “linking” feature for Android devices, similar to the Continuity mode in Apple’s device ecosystem. It was found by insiders who revealed some details: for example, it will allow you to receive calls on several devices at once (the call goes to one, but you can answer on any), as well as provide Internet sharing (apparently, we are talking about remote activation of a mobile hotspot on one of connected devices). This is reported by the Android Authority.

According to available information, a separate Link Your Devices item will appear in the system settings. This will create a pairing between devices connected to the same Google account.

There is a possibility that the innovation will be distributed through an update of Google Play Services, and not with an Android update, but so far this is nothing more than a guess.

If the functionality of the innovation is limited on the two features described above, then Apple’s implementation will remain more advantageous due to more options – for example, a single clipboard between devices.
