OnePlus continues to improve in the Android smartphone market. The brand’s new lineup, unveiled on March 23rd, includes three models: the mid-range OnePlus 9R, the standard OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro with state-of-the-art technology. This time, the Chinese manufacturer is making a full bet on direct competition with the flagships of the first echelon, not limited in any aspects. The seriousness of intent is demonstrated by the integration of the Swedish Hasselblad cameras – Huawei once showed its strength in the same way, having achieved a long-term partnership with Leica.
OnePlus 9R
The OnePlus 9R is a sub-flagship variant of the more expensive OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. There is a 7-nanometer Snapdragon 870 processor (overclocked by Snapdragon 865+) and the same display as in OnePlus 9. The main difference is the camera system: there are four of them, the main one of the old generation with a resolution of 48 megapixels, two auxiliary sensors (macro lens and monochrome). Otherwise, everything is almost identical to the older models.
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro
The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are based on the latest Snapdragon 888 5nm mobile platform. Smartphones have completely different screens: for example, the OnePlus 9 Pro has a larger 6.7-inch diagonal, increased Quad HD + resolution and an advanced LTPO matrix based on low-temperature polycrystalline silicon. The OnePlus 9 uses a triple camera instead of a quad camera and lacks some specs.
