As expected, OnePlus has officially unveiled its new mid-range smartphone – OnePlus Nord 3. The phone, compared with its predecessor, has received significant hardware improvements. And this applies to many aspects: screen, processor, battery and camera.

3 1

The new Nord has a 6.74-inch display, which makes it bigger. The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ content playback. The resolution has also become larger, as is the touch response speed, which is now 1000 Hz. There is a Dragontrail protective glass on the front, and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. All this makes the smartphone especially attractive to gamers, while thin frames and rounded edges give it the look of a flagship device.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset has significantly improved the performance and energy efficiency of the smartphone, which can generally be compared with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 devices. Users are offered several memory options, with a maximum configuration of 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The hardware of the camera remained unchanged. The main module is the same 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 (1 / 1.56 inches and 1.0 microns) with optical image stabilization. The same is installed in the flagship smartphone OnePlus 11. The front camera has been updated, now it has a 16-megapixel sensor.

The battery capacity, compared to the previous model, was also raised, but the charging speed did not change. OnePlus Nord 3 supports up to 80W fast wired charging. A smartphone can be replenished with energy in just 30 minutes. The company promises good battery health after four years of daily charging. As you know, one of the signature features of OnePlus smartphones is the sound mode switch slider on the side. Nord 3 has it too. OnePlus Nord 3 runs Android 13 operating system with OxygenOS 13 interface. The company promises three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
