POCO C55 Review: Looks nice and extremely affordable

POCO has just presented a new ultra-cheap smartphone. For about 100 euros to change you can have an inexpensive device, but well balanced. We are talking about the  POCO C55 , a phone of which we have no record that it will arrive. At least for now.

Technical characteristics of the Poco C55

The POCO C55 is a smartphone that comes with a very generous size, specifically  6.71 inches diagonally. Size is not at odds with price and this device proves it. Of course, do not expect a high-quality panel, although it saves the furniture for the price it has. Its resolution is  HD+ and it has a  120 Hz touch response , so even if it’s not the best quality screen, at least it’s pretty fluid. If it’s dimensions that concern you, here they are: 168.8 x 76.4 x 8.8mm. and 192 grams of weight.

Inside we find a  Helio G85 processor , with two variants of RAM,  4 GB or 6 GB . The same goes for the internal storage, with  64 GB or 128 GB , although, in any case, you can expand it via microSD.

As for its cameras, it has a  50 MP + 0.8 MP sensor in the rear  and a  5 MP  sensor in the front. Quite insufficient for most of us, but let’s remember that it is a very modest range mobile, so you cannot ask for more. As for its battery, it incorporates  a 5,000 mAh capacity and a  10 W fast charge . Of course, a slap on the wrist for POCO that returns to the archaic  Micro USB .

Finally, we can mention its connectivity, with  4G, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC , and its operating system, which comes with  MIUI 13  as a customization layer for  Android 12 .

Full review of the Poco C55 coming as soon as we get our hands on the device.

Availability and price

This smartphone has been put up for sale in  India , although there is no word on whether it will reach other markets. In any case, it is good for us to know the price at which it is being traded there, to know what we could expect. It is available in three colors:  green, blue or black . The price starts at 100 euros for the 4 GB + 64 GB model, while the 6 GB + 128 GB model would cost  125 euros .
