The official premiere of the new flagship line of Realme smartphones took place. The main model of the series is Realme 12 Pro+, which, despite its low price, has quite advanced characteristics, including camera capabilities.
The main camera of the Realme 12 Pro+ has a main module with a 50 MP matrix (Sony IMX890 sensor model). The same matrix was installed on flagship smartphones. For example, it is used as a TV module in the Oppo Find X7 Ultra smartphone. The matrix has an optical format of 1/1.56 inches. Potentially, this sensor should produce a fairly high-quality image in both photos and videos.

The second module of the main camera of the smartphone received a 64 megapixel matrix (sensor model OmniVision OV64B). It has an optical format of 1/2 inch and a pixel size of 0.7 microns. This module is equipped with optics with the possibility of 3x optical zoom. At the same time, the maximum declared zoom supports 120x zoom. However, we must keep in mind that the quality of shooting at such extreme values will be significantly reduced.
The third main camera module received an 8-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens. And the front camera of the Realme 12 Pro+ smartphone has a resolution of 32 megapixels and is located in the middle.
Realme 12 Pro+ has a screen made using AMOLED technology and has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz and a PWM adjustment frequency of 2160 Hz.
The smartphone runs on the new mobile processor SoC Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which operates on a 4nm process technology. It has 4 Cortex-A78 cores at 2400 MHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores at 1950 MHz and belongs to the average level in terms of performance.
The available amount of RAM ranges from 8 to 12 GB (depending on configuration), and flash memory ranges from 128 to 256 GB. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh and supports 67 W charging.
The new Realme 12 Pro+ is IP65 protected. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The operating system of the smartphone is Android 14 with the Realme UI 5 interface. Dimensions and weight of the smartphone are 161.47 × 74.02 × 8.75 mm and 196 grams.
The price for the 8/128 GB configuration is $360, 8/256 GB – $385, 12/256 GB – $410.
Also introduced in the series was the Realme 12 Pro smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. This smartphone has a main Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilization with a resolution of 50 megapixels, as well as an additional 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with a 2x telephoto lens (with optical stabilization ) and an 8 MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera resolution is 16 megapixels.
Realme 12 Pro features a 6.7-inch curved OLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a PWM control frequency of up to 2160 Hz and a peak brightness level of 950 nits.
