Samsung confirms the arrival of Android 12 Beta in September

At this time of year is usually the time when a new version of Google’s mobile operating system is officially released on the market and for this season Pixel mobiles seem ready to be the first to receive it. The rest of the manufacturers must wait a little longer and for example Samsung will begin with its own tests of Android 12 Beta from the current month of September .

As officially published by the South Korean giant this week in the photos of the community, Samsung will launch the first trial version of Android 12 throughout September. This is an advance that had previously been published by mistake in advance and that was quickly removed, although this time a little more information has been added to have a better idea of what to expect.

Samsung wastes no time with Android 12 Beta

Samsung One UI 4 will make its debut with Android 12

Considering that this is the same month that Google will launch Android 12 on Google Pixel phones, it is worth noting the work that Samsung is doing to not do too much to its users to receive the update. There is no specific release date, but although it arrives in the final days of this month, it is already an improvement compared to previous years.

For example, during 2020 Samsung released its first beta version of Android 11 to the public a month later, October , and some developer previews were available with limited access in the previous weeks. It has not been explicitly confirmed that this beta version will be public, but considering that Samsung’s announcement was made in the community forums it does not matter that there will be no limitations.

As expected, those interested in testing Android 12 Beta will need to have models of the latest high-end generation, namely the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra phones at first . As already indicated among the Android 12 features, there is an interface redesign (Material You) and color changes, so it will be interesting to see how Samsung has adapted it to its own customization layer (which will now be called One UI 4.0 ) .
