Roland JD-800 multifunctional synthesizer celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. In honor of this event, the company decided to immortalize the model in a virtual format. The device is now available as a Zen-Core module on the Roland Cloud service. According to the developers, they managed to achieve one hundred percent similarity with the original.
Roland also said that the new digital module JD-800 was made more versatile in the sense that it became easier to use the synthesizer. First of all, this is the merit of a well-thought-out graphical interface. Nevertheless, the company has kept the classic sliders and buttons to make the virtual module look authentic. In any case, we are talking about “the same sound” and functions – this was precisely the task.
The JD-800 module is already available for Zenology and Zenology Pro programs. At the start, all users were provided with 64 original presets.
In terms of price, the JD-800 digital synthesizer is free for 30 days, after which you have to pay $ 150 or buy Roland Cloud Pro / Ultimate.
