Japanese Cosina has introduced the Voigtländer COLOR-SKOPAR 18mm F2.8 Apherical , a new manual focus wide-angle lens designed for Fujifilm X mount system cameras .
It has a viewing angle equivalent to a full-frame 28mm lens, and Cosina says the optical design is optimized for the image sensor of Fujifilm X system cameras.
The lens is equipped with electronic contacts and provides Exif data transmission, focus checking, and also supports built-in image stabilization of some camera models.
The use of double-sided aspherical lenses and anomalous partial dispersion glass provides “superior optical performance even at the periphery of the frame.” The maximum aperture is F2.8. The lens looks like a very compact “pancake” – it protrudes from the bayonet connection by only 23.5 mm.
The minimum shooting distance is 0.17 m. The focus ring is equipped with a finger rest, which adds convenience to use and allows you to determine the approximate set focal length by the position of the lever, without looking at the distance indicator.
Cosina once again recalls the “comfortable feeling of adjusted resistance when controlling focus and aperture.”
The body is all metal and is available in two colors: silver and black. Both models are equipped with a special screw-on hood.
