Fujifilm is preparing to announce a new flagship camera in 2024. The source reports that based on an analysis of the release dates of previous models: Fujifilm X-T4 and Fujifilm X-T5, the announcement of the new generation camera will take place in August next year.
Fujifilm released X-T4 in February 2020, and 33 months later the Fujifilm X-T5 model (in November 2022). Thus, the Fujifilm X-T6 model may be presented in June-August 2024.
This camera, like previous models in the line, will have a primary focus on photographic capabilities, improved matrix stabilization (IBIS), and, probably, expanded characteristics for video shooting. Also, the Fujifilm X-T6 camera will have a convenient rotating display (its characteristics have not yet been disclosed). Images of the Fujifilm X-T6 model have not yet been published. The source will present them, as well as more detailed characteristics of the camera, closer to the announcement.
With all this, the company has already registered several high-tech cameras that are expected to be announced. The announcement of a medium format model is expected – Fujifilm GFX100S II, which will essentially be the Fujifilm GFX100 II model, but with limited video shooting functions.
For example, the Fujifilm GFX100S II camera will not receive 8K video (unlike the Fujifilm GFX100 II camera ). But there will be a function for recording 4K/30p HQ and 4K/60p video, as well as 1080/120p video. The Fujifilm GFX100S II will not have continuous 14-bit RAW shooting at 8 fps. The indicator will be lower, but what exactly has not yet been specified.
Fujifilm may also release the Fujifilm X-Pro4 model with a 40 megapixel matrix and matrix image stabilization system (IBIS). The company will finally change the display device – now the camera will have a rotating display with an additional axis. The X-Pro4 will also feature a new film simulation. Which one exactly is still unknown.
Another camera registered is the Fujifilm X100VI. According to the source, it will receive a 40 megapixel sensor. The sensor of the new camera will allow you to obtain several image options at once with one lens (in 35mm and 50mm mode). There is no information about the announcement date of this camera yet.
