In June, the Finnish company Loupedeck announced a fundraising campaign for the compact console Loupedeck Live S on Indiegogo. And now, after its successful completion, the Finns presented a new device to the general public, the price is $179.

Loupedeck Live S is a panel with displays, backlight and tactile feedback when pressed. A pair of analog control knobs and four customizable function buttons frame the front of the console.

Users can assign a wide range of controls and functions to each button using profiles, plugins and other elements available on the Loupedeck site. The screen itself can store up to 14 additional buttons that the user scrolls through using the touch screen.

On the Loupedeck  website, you can select the desired profiles, plugins, etc.

A dynamic mode is also available, which automatically switches control profiles depending on the app you’re using. For example, if you switch between Lightroom and Photoshop, Loupedeck Live S can switch between the two application-specific modes on the fly and display the specific controls you want to use.

Application support is constantly under development. However, for now, Loupedeck Live S has profiles for a wide variety of applications, including OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Twitch, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom CC, Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw, Capture One Pro, Photo Mechanic, Darktable, Luminar, Affinity Photo, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and more. All available profiles, plugins and assets are offered in the Loupedeck online store.

Compared to other consoles from this manufacturer, the new Live S, although with fewer dials and function buttons, can be an attractive option for novice users and travel photographers due to its size and price. Loupedeck Live S weighs 168g and measures 150 x 85.5 x 30mm.
