Samyang 12mm F2

Samyang has announced a new 12mm F2 E wide-angle autofocus lens for Sony’s APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens may also be marketed under the Rokinon or Bower brand, depending on the region.

When converted to 35 mm, the equivalent focal length of the lens will be 18 mm, which is also quite good for a wide aperture. The lens construction consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements. The minimum focusing distance is  19 cm, the diaphragm consists of 7 blades, the diameter for the light filter is  62 mm.

Samyang AF 12mm F2 E (ASP-C) can already be ordered from major online retailers for $ 400, delivery is expected in June 2021.
