Together with an APS-C lens, Sigma introduced two mid-range “I-Series” compact autofocus lenses 17mm F4 DG DN and 50mm F2 DG DN for full frame use as part of the Contemporary line. Both lenses will initially be available in Sony E and Leica L mounts. They feature all-metal bodies and magnetic caps similar to other models in the series.
SIGMA 17mm F4 DG DN | Contemporary
The 17mm F4 DN DG is a sharp, compact (only 48.8mm long and weighs just over 200g) wide-angle 17mm prime lens for full-frame cameras (25.5mm for APS-C cameras). It is ideal for landscape photography, and thanks to its size it will be completely easy to travel.

SIGMA 50mm F2 DG DN | Contemporary
The new “fifty kopeck”, slightly larger than the 17mm – 68mm in length and weighs 350g – which is almost half the size and weight of the recently introduced Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG DN | Art , however, the manufacturer claims that “its overall performance is much closer to our flagship ‘Art’ lens than you might expect . ”
F2 delivers superb blur, and the aperture will allow you to shoot in almost any low-light situation. The lens provides excellent sharpness.
The lens offers versatility in use, from street photography to portraits, family photos to action shots.
