All of a sudden, there is too much information on the net related to the possible arrival of the Nikon Z 90 (the name has not yet been confirmed). According to Thenewcamera, the presentation of the Nikon Z90 is expected before August-September 2023, but an earlier development announcement is possible.
Nikon is rumored to be working on a new higher resolution DX format sensor for its upcoming flagship crop camera. As before, work is underway on several camera prototypes, which are being thoroughly tested.
Specifications of one of the Nikon Z 90 prototypes:
A smaller version of the highly anticipated Z 8 camera with a smaller form factor and a 33MP APS-C/DX sensor. The firmware (under development) supports up to 15 fps and 4K video recording, making it an ideal replacement for the flagship D500. Also, the camera will receive two card slots, one of which supports the CFexpress/XQD format, and the other one supports SD cards.
So, if all these rumors are true, we will soon see a Nikon Z 90 camera with a 33-megapixel sensor and an excellent set of characteristics.
