TTartisan has introduced a new lens for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C format cameras – TTArtisan AF 35mm F/1.8 (equivalent focal length 55mm). In the future, the lens will be released with Sony E and Nikon Z bayonet mounts.

The available viewing angle using the new lens is 45 degrees. And the minimum focusing distance is 0.6 meters. The new lens has a nine-blade aperture. The optical design of the TTArtisan AF 35mm F/1.8 lens consists of 10 elements in 7 groups and looks like this:

Particularly emphasized is the control of chromatic aberration achieved through the use of ED elements.

The manufacturer specifically emphasizes the autofocus capabilities of the new lens. It supports eye autofocus (found in new Fujifilm cameras) using an STM drive. In theory, this motor should provide smooth and silent focusing, which will not interfere with video shooting.

At the same time, updating the lens firmware is available when connected via the USB-C port (available near the bayonet mount for the optics). The TTArtisan AF 35mm F/1.8 lens comes with a proprietary lens hood. At the same time, the weight of the new lens is about 205 grams – that is, the optics turned out to be quite compact and light.

It was previously reported that the 7Artisans 14mm T2.9 cinema lens was being prepared for announcement .

The new 7Artisans 14mm T2.9 cine lens will be designed for full-frame cameras and will join the line of previously released budget cine optics from 7Artisans. Currently the series already includes the following lenses:

7Artisans 12mm T2.9
7Artisans 25mm T1.05
7Artisans 35mm T1.05
7Artisans 50mm T1.05
