Denon DHT-S416 is a 2.1 soundbar with Google Chromecast

Denon unveiled a new soundbar on Thursday, which offers support for Google Chromecast.

Thanks to Chromecast, the Denon DHT-S416 lets you stream Hi-Res Audio from music services such as Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music HD, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz via WiFi. In addition, you can control the device via the Google Assistant, if you already have a smart speaker at home. The DHT-S416 can be further linked to other speakers with Chromecast for a wireless multiroom system.

The DHT-S416 is 5.6 cm high, making it flat enough to place under most modern TVs. Despite its flat design, it features 1.25 x 4.4 ″ full-range oval drivers and two 1 ″ tweeters for the clear and rhythmic mids and highs. The separate subwoofer features a 5.25 ″ driver in a ported enclosure for deep bass at low level. Thanks to the wireless connection to the soundbar, the subwoofer can be placed out of sight.

Denon DHT-S416 can simulate a multi-channel soundtrack on the surround system in a home cinema and deliver excellent music quality.

Denon’s DHT-S416 can be wall mounted and set up takes a few minutes. With support for HDMI ARC and CEC, the soundbar can also be controlled with the TV remote control. If HDMI ARC is not available, DHT-S416 offers an optical input and can be paired wirelessly via bluetooth to stream music, podcasts and other audio content.

The soundbar has three EQ presets, namely Movie, Music and Night. DHT-S416 also offers three Denon Dialogue Enhancer modes for more intelligible speech while watching TV. In addition, the DHT-S416 is equipped with a Pure mode that switches off the surround processing.
