The German brand has released a new version of its 4 Pi super tweeter – 4 Pi Plus V. The main innovation is a rotating base, which makes it possible to place floor-standing speakers on the sloping top panels. And also a slightly reduced price.
The new super tweeter, which allows you to expand the range to 50 kHz, can be used not only with ELAC acoustics, but also with models from any other manufacturers. The emitter is a strip emitter, with a circular diagram, connected parallel to the speakers. The lower cutoff frequency is selected by metal pistons, which are installed in holes on the bottom panel of the device; it is 10, 12 or 15 kHz.
There is also the possibility of recoil correction within +/- 2 dB or +/- 4 dB. The tweeter is designed to work with acoustics with a sensitivity of 84 dB and 92 dB. When connected via bi-amping, it can be used with speakers whose sensitivity exceeds 92 dB. Nominal impedance is 6 ohms, minimum is 3.5 ohms at 10 kHz.
