Falcon Acoustics IMF 200: Affordable 3-way DIY floor stand

Falcon Acoustics IMF 200

Falcon Acoustics has released the IMF 200 three-way floor stand in the format of a kit for self-assembly – due to this, the system is much cheaper than analogues. Falcon Acoustics is famous for this approach, having released , in particular, many kits for assembling versions of the legendary BBC LS3 / 5a monitors.

Buyers of the Complete @ Home IMF 200 kit will receive Falcon speakers: Falcon B139 woofers, Falcon B110 midrange and T27 tweeters. Moreover, the manufacturer assured that they are all matched in pairs according to the parameters. They should be placed in birch plywood cabinets. Crossovers based on polypropylene containers with already soldered internal wiring are also mounted there (you do not need to solder when assembling the IMF 200). The tools required for assembly are included in the kit.

According to the company, it should take no more than two hours for any lover of high-quality audio to assemble a pair of speakers. The result is a three-way acoustics with an impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 86 dB, capable of operating with an amplifier with a power of up to 200 W per channel. The parts of the set are created at the Falcon factory, and the cases, made in Italy, can be veneered with natural walnut, light oak or rosewood.

Falcon Acoustics Complete @ Home IMF200 kits are now available in the UK with a walnut or light oak finish for £ 2,800. For rosewood you will have to pay another 400 pounds.
