Mitchell Acoustics , founded by co-founder of recently defunct Mitchell & Johnson Paul Mitchell, has unveiled the uStream One wireless bookshelf speaker .
The main difference from most similar Bluetooth monitors on the market is the use of the True Wireless Stereo protocol , that is, the speakers communicate with each other via Bluetooth. And the only wires are network wires for connection to the power grid. Each speaker has a 50 Watt Class D amplifier built on modules from Texas Instruments .
Speakers in a pair can be used both together in stereo, and separately for playback from different sources. The signal can also be fed through physical connectors that include analog RCA, 3.5mm mini-jack, optical digital, and USB.
The model Mitchell Acoustics uStream One set qualitative dynamics CLARI-t – mid / bass driver with neodymium magnet system and 106 mm diffuser magnesium alloy, and a 28-mm tweeter dome with silk. Each speaker weighs 3.3 kilograms , retail price in Europe is 550 euros per pair.
