Unveiled at CES 2023 , the top- of-the-line Nakamichi Dragon soundbar didn’t just take on the name of the legendary cassette deck and turntable. It is the first in the world to support the DTS:X Pro surround sound format , for which it needed 31 speakers !

Of course, not all of them are installed in the very central soundbar, because the Nakamichi Dragon also includes several subwoofers and satellites that provide an acoustic configuration of 11.4.6 . The total power of all built-in amplifiers is 3000 watts .

The soundbar has a width of 147 cm , and it has 15 dynamic radiators , including 4 directed upwards and inclined at 10 and 20 degrees relative to the horizontal axis. There are three Air Motion Transfer tweeters on the front panel .

The set includes two satellites, in which several loudspeakers directed in different directions are installed, including two ribbon tweeters . Each of the two subwoofers responsible for reproducing low-frequency effects has two woofers located opposite each other on the side panels.

All in all, the Nakamichi Dragon is a serious home theater system, so it’s no surprise that it retails for $3,499 . The model will go on sale at the end of the second quarter of 2023.
