Polk Audio has released the Signa S4 soundbar. The soundbar differs from the previous model with the index “3” by a pair of upward-facing speakers. With them, she is ready to play Dolby Atmos content. If the input signal is not encoded in Dolby Atmos, the novelty is able to convert the format and still please with three-dimensional sound.
Signa S4 Dolby Atmos – Soundbar in 3.1.2 configuration. There are seven drivers on board, complemented by a wireless subwoofer. In addition to the two speakers responsible for the Atmos, the S4 has a center channel speaker and left / right tweeters in conjunction with their respective broadbands.
The center channel in the Signa S4 is supported by Polk’s proprietary Voice Adjust technology for improved dialogue intelligibility. The subwoofer operates at a range of up to 10m, making it easier to install in a room. Conveniently, you can adjust the bass both on the subwoofer and on the soundbar.
The adjustments also include preset modes for the soundtrack of movies or music (it can also be streamed to Polk Audio Signa S4 via Bluetooth). There is also a night mode, with weakened bass and increased speech clarity. The design of the novelty should not cause confusion – these are smooth black surfaces. The textured variety was introduced by the fabric grill – but also black.
The Polk Audio Signa S4 Dolby Atmos soundbar has already gone on sale on the manufacturer’s website. Its price is $ 400.
