System Audio SA Silverbar: All-in-One Streaming Soundbar with DSP
System Audio SA Silverbar
Externally active speaker System Audio SA Silverbar looks like a soundbar. Not the longest, just over 72 cm. Inside there are two midrange-woofers and two tweeters, each of which is powered by a separate 80W class D amplifier. The built-in DSP, in addition to the crossover functions, is able to work out the room correction settings. The frequency range of the novelty is from 50 Hz to 25 kHz.
The result is the System Audio SA Silverbar, using the technology of the SA Silverback series, to work both as a soundbar and as a standalone all-in-one active wireless speaker system. For the first option, the Silverbar has an HDMI port for connecting to a TV, and with support for ARC (audio return channel) and CEC (support for control from the TV remote control).
For the second use case, the System Audio SA Silverbar is equipped with a digital S/PDIF optical input or an analog one in the form of a 3.5mm jack. With a network connection, the SA Silverbar is capable of being a UPnP client, but a more advanced alternative would be support for Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast. The system easily interacts with other wireless devices from the System Audio Silverback ecosystem, for example, as part of a multi-room.
Depending on the location and use case, SA Silverbar can be placed on a table or a shelf – for this there is a nice stand included. An alternative is wall mounts, which are also included. The novelty will appear on sale in the summer of 2023 in two matte finishes, black or white.
In Europe, the System Audio SA Silverbar has a suggested retail price of €1,785.
