Yamaha launches WS-B1A: Compact and wireless speaker

For several years, the Japanese company Yamaha has been promoting its own standard for wireless distributed audio systems MusicCast , offering for them, in particular, stationary monoblock audio systems with Wi-Fi. And now the company has finally paid attention to portable wireless speakers to work with smartphones and tablets. This autumn, at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Yamaha introduced the first model of its kind in its range, which received the WS-B1A index .

The compact speaker WS-B1A is not afraid of moisture and dust (certified according to the IP67 standard and supports Bluetooth version 5.0. All side walls of the novelty are covered with acoustically transparent fabric, and the top panel with touch keys for operating modes control is matte. The battery provides up to 12 hours of battery life speaker and has a USB-C port for charging.

The Yamaha WS-B1A audio system is equipped with a 5.5 cm full-range speaker, complemented by two passive radiators that increase low-frequency response. The emitter is driven by a 10 watt amplifier. Sound expressiveness is provided by proprietary sound processing systems TrueSound and ClearVoice .

Portable wireless speaker Yamaha WS-B1A is already on sale in Europe at a price of 130 euros . The speaker is offered in three different colors: charcoal gray, light gray or black .
