HONOR introduced the new HONOR Tablet 8 in the domestic market, which is positioned as an affordable multimedia device for learning and entertainment. The novelty is equipped with a 12-inch IPS-screen with a resolution of 2K, anti-blue light and flicker protection in accordance with Rheinland certification. The hardware basis is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 platform with the Adreno 610 graphics accelerator. The RAM can be 4, 6 or 8 GB, and the internal memory is 128 GB.
HONOR Tablet 8 is made in a metal case and is available in three colors: green, blue and gold. The thickness of the tablet is only 6.9 mm, and the weight is 520 g. And this is despite a rather impressive 7250 mAh battery with 22.5 W charging support. The 10-bit matrix provides a display of more than a billion colors and quite decent color reproduction.
The aspect ratio of the screen is different from the usual cinema 16:9. Here it is 5:3, which allows users to have a more comfortable visual experience when working with documents, images and viewing content. For photos and videos, there are 5-megapixel main and front cameras.
One of the main features of the tablet is the sound. The tablet received as many as 8 speakers (4 on each side), forming an audio system with support for a proprietary sound tuning algorithm, DTS surround sound, intelligent recognition of sound effects and scenes in real time.
HONOR Tablet 8 adopts the latest version of Magic UI 6.1 skin, which provides user-friendly interface and improved smoothness. The system supports split screen mode, which allows users to run up to 4 applications at the same time. The tablet also offers multi-screen collaboration. This feature works on HONOR devices.
The HONOR Tablet 8 starts at $220 for the 4GB RAM version. The variant with 6 GB of RAM will cost $260 , and with 8 GB of RAM – $300. Sales start July 29th.
